I have produced lasers which may have value in LIDAR applications. These lasers are compact and simple, and produce pulses with rise times below 1 nanosecond and peak power greater than 20 kilowatt. Or optimized for high repetition rate, they can produce well above one million pulses per second.

These lasers are semiconductor-pumped lasers operating at eye-safe wavelengths near 1.3 microns. They are based on the gain materials Nd:YVO4 and Nd:YAG, q-switched by the saturable absorber V:YAG. Their optical parts correspond to familiar green pointer lasers, available for a few dollars, so cost of production can be low.

I am looking for partners interested in applying this technology. My capabilities:

•Produce & deliver units for lab verification
•Design & deliver fieldable demo units
•Help you to design for mass production
•Extend my existing intellectual property position (Click here for a summary of intellectual property.)
